In our house, everyday begins with the most important meal of the day…
Breakfast
My first meal usually consists of eggs (maybe some veggies and/or canadian ham) and either toasts or a tortilla depending upon what type of mood I’m in that day. Something that does always find a spot on my plate though…hot sauce! Tobasaco, tapatio, sriracha, you name it, I got it!

After Breakfast, Mila gets some play time in her walker or jumper and I catch up on my social media and check out what’s new on my favorite blogs.
I don’t allow too much time to go by before getting ready for my morning run. The weather is still pretty warm here so I make it a point to get out there early. I mean, who wants to run in the heat? So out the door we go…me & my girls!

She’s definitely ready to go!

Can you see Bella in the basket?

And here’s me – Hi!
I was a pretty avid runner before I got pregnant and just recently got back into it. Omg, It’s hard…to push a stroller & run! Hahaha…but no, really it is! I don’t remember it being this hard? I’m sure my moms out there can vouch for that.
After our 5-6 mile run, I warm up a quick bowl of steel cut oats to refuel.

Steel cut oats mixed with PB2, honey & chia seeds
Belly full & fresh air in our lungs…its reading & play time.

Even Bella gets in on the fun!
And then there’s always the not so fun stuff…laundry and cleaning.
Buuut I much rather talk about lunch…
I usually eat a wrap, sandwich or a salad topped with whatever is in the fridge or pantry and something sweet on the side like fruit & greek yogurt.

Yesterday I had a tuna salad. I mixed the tuna with jalapeno greek yogurt dip and topped the salad with salsa and a corn tortilla that I nuked in the microwave for a minute on each side.
After lunch is done, I break out into a few songs and sing Mila to sleep for her nap, she doesn’t seem to mind my horrible singing voice
. Once she’s out, I go into turbo mode! This is her longest nap of the day, so I’m able to fit in a quick 30 minute weight training session, whip up a protein shake, finish up my cleaning and shower up before she wakes up.
A few more highlights to the day…
My mom stops by after work to come visit us. I say us, but it’s really the baby she wants to see!

During her visits, I start dinner since Mila is preoccupied with grandma & Bella. Dinner always varies; it’s usually just making what I feel like that day.

Last night I had bean tostados, using a split whole wheat pita. It’s simple & one of my favorite dinners since I LOVE beans
We finish the night off the best way possible…quality family time & usually there’s even a little dessert involved too.

I like to eat partially thawed frozen berries topped with a little bit of cool whip.
Now I feel like you guys really know me. Now your turn, tell me something I don’t know about you?
XOXO,
Angel
