Good Morning Friends!
I sure am happy it’s Friday! I’m ready to get this weekend’s show on the road! What are your plans for the weekend?
I wanted to end this work week with a handful of my favorite total body moves. I devote one day (usually Saturday) to do a total body workout.
- Weighted Swing
- Balanced Bicep Curl
- Flying Crane
- Push-Up Position Row
- Dumbbell Lunge and Rotation
- Medicine Ball Squat to Raise
- Shoulder Bridge to Dumbbell Press
I baked my own tortilla shells, using corn tortillas. I preheated the oven to 350 degrees and placed the tortillas flat on a baking sheet, sprayed with pam. I left them in the oven for a few minutes to allow them to soften up. Once they were soft enough, I folded them in half and baked them on each side for about 4 minutes each. It varies on how crispy you want the shell to be – if you want it to be more of a soft taco cook for less, if you want it to be crispy allow them to cook on each side longer. Play with it a little.
Usually, I make my own beans but since I didn’t have some already made, I just used a can of black beans from Trader Joe’s. I warmed them up for a few minutes and mixed them with some salsa. Inside my taco went some baked chicken, more salsa, low fat shredded cheese and lettuce. I could probably eat this dinner every night!
Breakfast & lunch weren’t all that exciting but they were delicious so I will go ahead and share them with you.
Breakfast was 2 slices of toast with laughing cow cheese (spread on top), scrambled egg whites, ham and spinach.
And remember those roasted veggies I made for dinner Wednesday night? I had some left overs and couldn’t let them go to waste so I filled a wrap with them and also added some spicy hummus and a serving of meatless meatballs – tasty! I also ate one of the peaches that I got at the Farmer’s Market last weekend – I’m sad to see them go out of season.
I have a few sweet treat recipes coming up on the blog in the next few days so stay tuned my friends!
Have an amazing weekend!
