Good Morning Friends!
I was on a soy chorizo & egg burrito kick last week so this week called for something a little different. I still stuck to the basics though, a clean carb, a couple of eggs, some meat and a little bit of spice.
For breakfast yesterday, I stuffed a toasted pita with eggs, greens, canadian ham and salsa.

Have you ever been asked the question, if you were stuck on a deserted island which one food would you want with you? While, my answer would be sweet potatoes! But then if you really think about it, I would need an oven too, so not to sure how that would all work out?
I love the darn things so much that I had one for lunch…and then another one for dinner.
Lunch consisted of a few hard boiled eggs and my beloved sweet potato. The goodness you see slathered on top is another one of my favorites…greek yogurt. I mixed it with a 1/2 scoop of vanilla whey protein, stevia and cinnamon, I could probably eat this meal everyday.

Dinner was equally tasty! To eat along side my delicious salmon, I roasted up another sweet potato, bell pepper and a handful of mushrooms – great combo, let me tell ya!

Check it out! I finally got my order from DavidsTea! Ever since I ordered it about 2 weeks ago, I’ve been waiting anxiously to receive my treats. I received a new glass teapot, red velvet cake tea, carrot cake tea, ice cream cake tea and some matcha drink mix. Bella was pretty excited too!
For dessert last night, I had red velvet cake tea. Yes, it really is possible to have a zero calorie dessert and it be soooo good. After tasting this tea, I have high hopes for my other two flavors.

It was raining most of yesterday so I bailed out of my run. I figured it wasn’t the best idea to take Mila out in that weather just so I can get in a run. So for cardio, I jumped on my stationary bike and browsed all over Instagram (love, love Instagram) for about 40 minutes and then ended my workout with a good chest and back workout, all in the comfort of my cozy home.
Question: If you were stuck on a deserted island, which one food would you want with you?
XOXO,
Angel

This is a question I can never answer. I have too many favorite foods: sweet potatoes, winter squash, apples, berries, almond butter . . . .
I’m intrigued by the concoction on your sweet potato. Greek yogurt, protein powder and cinnamon. I might have to give it a try! I usually go savory, and top mine with black beans and hot sauce. Best combo ever.
@Michelle – I am definitely going to have to try a sweet potato, your way! That sounds AMAZINGGGG!!
I’d like to have shrimp, I LOVE them! Boiled, baked, bbq, etc.

Yum, shrimp is good!!
Where do you get your protein powder? It’s so hard to find a good tasting and non gritty one.
Hi Wendy!
As far as sweeteners, you can use honey or agave. Also have you tried out the liquid stevia? They have some that are flavored like, English Toffee…YUM!!!
I use Gold standard 100% whey. All their flavors are really good! My fav flavor is the extreme milk chocolate, honestly though I haven’t had a flavor of theirs that I haven’t liked!
Also is there anything else you have used as a sweetener? I wasn’t a fan of Stevie’s after taste.
I think I would absolutely have to have goldfish! I know it sounds weird but those little bite-size cheesy goodness crackers really make me happy!
@Amanda, Oh man, those things are good! Addicting for sure!
Hands down it would be bananas!!! I was just telling my husband yesterday that if I could only have 1 food for the rest of my life, it would be bananas.
