Good morning friends and Happy Friday to you!!
Yesterday, I made a trip to Costco to restock our kitchen and I recorded my first video blog about my staples and finds from Costco. I hope you enjoy it and keep in mind this is my 1st video!
*************
Lunch & dinner yesterday was a salad with leftover enchilada eggplant bake and grapes that my mother-in-law sent home with us. I really do love having left overs for the next day, especially when the dish is this tasty!

I was searching the internet yesterday for help to get rid of my belly bloat from my recent mini vaca
and found this article on Dr. Oz’s website. Since I had no fresh peppermint, I had to get a little creative and add my own little spin to it!
Try his recipe or my version of it to drink your belly bloat away.
- 1 lemon
- 1 sliced cucumber
- 1 peppermint tea bag

Peppermint improves the flow of bile to digest fats better. As a diuretic, lemon helps to flush undesirable bacteria and toxins out of the body while eliminating water weight. Cucumber also helps rid your body of the toxins that have accumulated. An added bonus to drinking this water…healthy glowing skin from the high amount of vitamin C in the lemon, yaaaayy!
I’m drinking all 3 bottles throughout today and will probably make this water for the next week or at least the next few days.
And lastly… I’m doing my first giveaway!!!
All you have to do is share my facebook page with your friends. The 500th friend ‘like’ AND the friend that shared my page with the 500th friend will both receive this snack pack!!

Question: What are your plans for the weekend?
XOXO,
Angel

Hello! I recently stumbled across your blog. I am dying to try the eggplant enchiladas! They look amazing. Question for you on the detox drink, I could use that myself! You steep 1 peppermint tea bag for each bottle you want to make, add that water plus additional water and a whole cucumber and whole lemon for each one? I already drink lemon in my water all the time, but would love to try your version. Thanks for the awesome recipes! I visit your blog daily now
@Melissa – Thank you for commenting and the kind words!

Regarding the water, I steeped the tea first for a few minutes and then added it to the water bottle with more water. For the largest water pitcher, I used 1 tea bag, 1 lemon and 1 cucumber and for the 2 smaller water bottles, I used a tea bag for each bottle but only used 1/2 lemon & cucumber in each bottle. 1st bottle done – working on the 2nd one now.
Great vlog! We apparently do a lot of the same shopping! I, too, frequent Costco and Trader Joe’s. Can’t beat ‘em! And I LOVE the tank top!
