Quest Bars

Quest Bars

Allow me to warn you beforehand, I have nothing bad to say about Quest bars. I absolutely LOVE these bars and am probably one of their biggest fans? hehe, I’m being totally serious! :) These bars are by far the best tasting, clean protein bars I have seen on the market and since I consider you all my friends, I want to share things I love with you! :)

An ingredient list in a typical protein bar are usually way too long and full of names we can’t even pronounce, that’s not the case with Quest bars. Here are a few examples of what the nutritional facts look like on a Quest bar.

Each bar has 20 grams of high quality protein and between 170-200 calories. Most bars contain about 24 grams of carbs and 19 of those carbs come from fiber which helps stabilize blood sugar levels without causing an insulin spike.  With the high protein and fiber in these bars, they definitely keep you full for hours.

Apple Pie, Strawberry Cheesecake, Lemon Cream Pie, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Coconut Cashew are 100% all natural and sweetened with Stevia and Erythritol. We all know Stevia is a natural herb but may have not heard about Erythritol yet.  It is a sugar alcohol (different than all of the others) that doesn’t upset your stomach or impact your blood sugar.

Chocolate Brownie, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Cinnamon Roll, Mixed Berry Bliss, Vanilla Almond Crunch and Peanut Butter Supreme  are 99.95% natural sweetened with Sucralose.  According to their website, Sucralose is 600 times sweeter than sugar so they use it in microscopic amounts.

By now you’re probably thinking, “Ok, they sound like their good for me but do they taste good?”  Yes, they taste Ahhhhmaazzing!!  These taste so good they can be hard to stop eating, seriously! I’ve been eating these bars are about 6 months now and I continuously keep my pantry and purse stocked with them. :) For a freshly baked cookie or brownie, pop one of these bars in the microwave for a few seconds, I know a ton of people enjoy eating them this way.  I personally love their chewy and dense texture, I think it keeps me from consuming it too fast! ;)

I’ve categorized the flavors by amazing, great and good – this is only my opinion.  They are all fantastic but the ‘amazing’ ones are my favorite.

Amazing

  • Strawberry Cheesecake
  • Coconut Cashew
  • Apple Pie
  • Cinnamon Roll

Great

  • Chocolate Brownie
  • Lemon Cream Pie
  • Mixed Berry Bliss

Good

  • Peanut Butter Supreme
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • Vanilla Almond Crunch
  • Chocolate Peanut Butter

They can be purchased online or you can find them in select health food stores like, Vitamin Shoppe or GNC.  They go for about $2 a bar.

Now all this talk about them is making me crave one, so I’m off to go have one! :)

Question: If you’ve eaten Quest bars before, please share your thoughts on them so others can get more than just my opinion. <3

XOXO,

Angel

I’ve commented before saying how much I love quest bars! But I can only find a few of the flavors….and I only buy the “all natural” ones (no sucralose). My top two favorites are coconut cashew and cinnamon roll (ate one today!). I love the clean ingredient list, the size, the nutritional stats, and of course, the taste. They have a chewy texture, which some might need to get used to, but I personally love it. They are basically the only protein bar I buy anymore–just wish they weren’t so expensive! :)

Quest bars are truly amazing–I have not tried the microwave trick though–but I have tried virtually every protein bar and these are the best–i love bringing them to spin class with me and eating them after class:)
